KatyDix.com is a website that provides news and information about children’s author Katy Dix.

Katy is a retired GP and took up creating children’s books to fill some of her new found leisure time. She lives in rural Lincolnshire in the East of England and enjoys the countryside with her husband and two daughters – one at school and one recently off to university.

An age ago, before having a family, Katy and her husband went sailing. They gave up land-based life and lived on their own yacht for 2 and a bit years, sailing over 12,000 miles including a trip across the Atlantic to the Caribbean and back. Maybe when the youngest flies the nest they might try to sail around the world?

Although now living almost as far from the sea as is possible in England, Katy loves the sea and her first book was a natural extension of this love – an opportunity to create a story around some beautiful and lovable sea creature characters.
